Milda Goeriz is an experienced California licensed attorney specializing in representation of Women in Divorce and Family Law Matters. Through the experience of her own divorce Ms. Goeriz realized that women going through the divorce process face unique problems and issues. Furthermore, a lot of these matters are not and cannot be addressed by a traditional law firm. With this knowledge and passion for her clients rights, Ms. Goeriz founded a divorce center for women with a goal of helping her clients not just achieve a divorce, but to move confidently into the next phase of their lives.
Ms. Goeriz immigrated to the United States from Lithuania, Europe after graduating Vilnius University School Of Law with honors and passing Lithuanian and European Union Bar Exams. In the United States, Ms. Goeriz continued her education at Golden Gate University School Of Law in San Francisco, CA, where she developed an interest and passion for Family Law. While at Golden Gate University, Ms. Goeriz focused her work on cohabitation and produced several articles and research guides on palimony issues. She was an active member of the Family Law Clinic and San Francisco Volunteer Legal Services Program, where she assisted low-income clients with their Family Law and Domestic Violence matters.
After graduation, Ms. Goeriz entered private practice and founded a community-based law firm in San Francisco Bay Area, with emphasis on community outreach, client counseling and civil litigation related to Family and Immigration Law. Her firm provided legal advice and representation on marriage dissolution with immigration implications, property division, child custody and support, spousal support, deportation threats, domestic violence, unreported cash income, substance abuse, and other family law issues.
Looking for a fresh start after her divorce, Attorney Milda Goeriz relocated to San Diego, and pursuing her dream to create not just a law firm, but also a support community for women dealing with divorce, opened Womens Divorce Center. Her unique upbringing and years spent as a military spouse provide her with an exceptional ability to connect to women from diverse cultural and social backgrounds. Whereas her legal experience in Family and Immigration law enable her to competently handle a wide variety of cases in a compassionate but assertive manner.
Ms. Goeriz is an active member of the San Diego Bar Association, North County Bar Association and American Inn of Courts. She is a dedicated advocate for womens rights and volunteers at the San Diego North County Temporary Restraining Order Clinic on a regular basis.
Ms. Goeriz resides in Del Mar with her seven-year-old daughter Serena and a two-year-old black Labrador, Bella.’
